Proverbs 1:20-33

In Proverbs 1:20-33 wisdom is likened to a woman crying in the streets for men to turn from their foolish ways and to find their guidance and security in her. Proverbs 3:15-20 reiterates this:  wisdom in the fullest sense belongs to God alone. His wisdom is complete knowledge in every realm of life. Wisdom takes insights gleaned from the knowledge of God's ways and applies them in one’s daily walk.

This image is a personification of wisdom, not an aspect of God having an independent existence. The flowers growing from the woman's hands represent growth in Christ. When we seek His wisdom and counsel and apply it we change and grow in ways previously thought impossible. I've always believed that the longest distance here on earth is not a geographical location, but that space from when an individual hears the Word of God, going from the brain to the heart through our heads and feet. That journey might take minutes, days, decades or a lifetime. At any rate, when the Word of God becomes alive in us, it trumps the Red Sea being parted, as far as miracles go.
